The total amount for the project is anchored by the Decision to 17 mil. CZK (661 736 EUR) at 100% of the contribution (subsidy). The proportion of subsidy from the Norwegian financial mechanisms constitute 68% share and the subsidy proportion from the Czech state budget is 32%. In terms of categories of projects funded it falls under basic research in biomedicine.
The project budget is divided in the ratio of 53% for the recipient (IEM) and 47% for the partner institution (NTNU). Personnel expenses in the budget of the IEM consists of 4, 366 mil. CZK. Personnel expenses allocated to NTNU are a total of 3, 364 mil. CZK.
Travel costs are reserved at 95,000 CZK for IEM and 192,000 CZK for NTNU. These amounts are only used to cover working visits of laboratories, student exchanges and annual meetings to evaluate and plan further cooperation.
A sum of 142,000 CZK has been allocated for purchases of laboratory animals by IEM.
The amount of 47,000 CZK will be used to cover costs associated with publishing activity, access to paid scientific journals and administration associated with the operation of the website.
IEM overhead costs (710,000 CZK) are intended for acquisitions of small laboratory equipment and utility material (plastic, culture media, antibodies, chemicals etc.).
NTNU has been awarded 800,000 CZK for the overhead costs, which will also be used to purchase small laboratory equipment and utility material (plastic, culture media, etc.).
Operational costs of IEM (3, 375 mil. CZK) and NTNU (3 mil. CZK), which according to the rules of this programme represent 60% of the total direct costs and are used to cover part of the operation of individual workplaces infrastructure (power, water utilization, heating, etc.), additional laboratory equipment and for the salaries of technicians and office workers.
Neither of the research institutions are subject to value added tax with deductibility.
